Anonymous: my butt looks terrible in equine couture breeches but I bought those Kerrits Slender riders. AH. MAZE. ING. I'm chunkier and it helps me cram my sorry booty nicely into my TS breeches.

Everyone has their fit! I have sucha flat butt but I have a pair of Kerrits that fit perfectly! Like jeans, all brands fit differently! And we all have our favorites!

Anonymous: I'm the anon from a long while back who was worried she wouldn't be able to go back to riding. I'd just like to thank everyone again, after finding I had enough money to pay for lessons in my bank account I've been loving lessons as per always. It's great to be back with the horses I love.

Yay! I’m happy everything worked out for you. Good luck in your future riding! <3

themodelhorse: The gelding I ride has every joint problem you can think of and then some - arthritis included. We keep him relatively sound and comfortable on a combination of Devil's Claw Plus, Probios, Equimin, and Previcox, along with chiropractor recommended stretches and consistent riding. You have to remember that supplements are only part of the solution :) Good luck!

finishingflight: For the med question : After my horse developed ringbone I put him on a low does of Previcox (a dog arthritis medication) He got 1/4 tablet of 227mg daily. It worked wonders for taking that little edge off. (As prescribed by my vet) its small enough to hide in grain, and is relatively inexpensive.

w-righteous: Hi, okay. So I have a 22 y/o gelding quarter horse/arab and he is phenomenal. He has been ridden constantly throughout his life. Recently he became lame, and when he is not on bute he limps while walking...hard. We did xrays and ultrasound. The vet said that his ligaments and tendons look incredible for his age, and he actually has shoulder arthritis. I wan wondering if anyone know of any supplement that works really well and is preferably flavored. Hes picky lol. Thanks. :)

^^ Anyone have an idea for a supplement? =)

Anonymous: Also to the girl worried about restarting late - as another rider who rode daily til college, rode infrequently in college, and haven't been able to afford riding until 2 yrs out of college, being older gives us better perspective! Time off from the sport helps you focus on what's really important and how best to learn and grow. You'll advance faster when your emotions are more mature. Don't worry about it - just get back in the saddle! :)

Anonymous: to the girl who feels bad about her level at 17, I'm almost 20 and I had to restart after 4 years off due to school and family issues, and now there are girls who are far younger than me and much better riders. Never let your age stop you; Ride because you love it and because you're never too old! Be proud that you are doing it and are able to!!! Don't let your level control how you feel... small victories! And always remember, the name of the game is to stay alive!!!
